Rachel Marie was born on October 31, 2006.   No trick just a treat!  Duncan and Elizabeth are doing well.
The other children are happy, too.  Congratulations to all!

Stephen and Andrew Jackiw can tell you all about "WICKED" now playing in Chicago!  They were there to experience the show just in time for Halloween.  Call them for a review.

Alexis Kneeland got her sixth hole-in-one at Coyote Run Golf Course in Flossmoor, Ill. on September 26, 2006 just 6 months after her knee replacement surgery.  

Duke and Elizabeth are expecting their sixth child this October.  The Groebe family is still growing strong.

Gary Strakshus got sports page coverage in the Hot Springs Sentinel Record for his opinions on the drug accusations of Floyd Landis in the Tour de France.  Looks like our family cyclist is a big wheel in biking.

Alexis Kneeland made the news in the Daily Southtown as the "Queen of Aces" for her 5 holes-in-ones.  She was quoted as saying that "now I have a hole-in-one for each of my grandchildren".

Chris Jackiw celebrates his 40th Birthday April 4;  Best wishes for another 40 or so!

Miles Brooks won "Best in Craftsmanship" at the Milwaukee Boy Scout Jamboree for his model race car design.

Matthew Kneeland and Kathy Richen will be married on March 17, 2006 in Alsip.  Congratulations!

Will Elder-Groebe and Analia Fabris will be married in Berkley, California on March 4, 2006.  Congratulations!

Tommy Groebe passed his high white belt test in Tae Kwan do.

Blims have a new puppy named Annie.  She is a Labradoodle.  

Stephen and Andrew Jackiw passed their yellow belt tests in Karate.

Stella Brooks won the coloring contest for her age group among 400 entries in the Community Recreation Program.

Miles Brooks has been recognized as a budding artist.  The Wauwatosa Community Library has chosen a piece of his art work for their annual poster and calendar from a school project of several hundred entries.  

Taylor Blim is starring again in the Oak Lawn production of Bye Bye Birdie.  She is also keeping busy as a member of the American Girl touring company.  

Bill McVicker, Jr. is getting his MFT now, and Bruce McVicker is finishing up his phd. Late bloomers, but I’m proud of them!  And Bill has a new granddaughter, Isabella Blythe, born to his son Mathew and wife, Jacqueline.  His daughter, Katie, has a yr old son, Micah.  His son Tim is on a mission in Okinawa , and the rest are all still at home.  Bruce has two grandchildren, Blair and Emma, from son Charlie and wife Maria.  They life in Colorado .

Philip Groebe and son Scooter  have finished the new car: the one that has been in Phil's garage.  It looks different now!  They started a web site and have only one page so far but it will get bigger as time allows.  This car is called the Vision when they started the design in 2001.  Originally planned to run in 04, the car just made its maiden race and with the exception of a few normal new car issues, it is great!  The link is www.predatorvisiondsr.com.  Tell them what you think!

Miles Brooks turned 8 yrs. old on March 14.  He celebrated with a bowling party that included friends and family.  Congratulations Miles.


Kara Lee has her own horse now and is getting ready to compete in a few riding competitions.  We wish her lots of luck in her new adventure.


  Elizabeth Baker-Groebe recently opened her new medical office with two other doctors in Gurney, Ill.
The practice is called Heartland Medical Partners.  Congratulations on the new venture!

Sarah Groebe &North Shore girls dazzle judges at St. Valentine's Day Classic

The trophy case at the North Shore Gymnastics Club in Lake Forest is filling up quickly.

Recently, the North Shore girls travel team competed in the St. Valentine's Day Classic in Arlington Heights and had a tremendous meet.

The Level 7 team brought home a first-place banner, and the Level 4 team earned a second-place award.  Contributing to the award was  Sarah Groebe (Libertyville) — 6th all-around with 34.25, including 9.1 in vaulting.

Alex McElroy will start in the Master Program in Public Administration at Cleveland University in January 2005.   We all wish him the best of luck.

Lindsay McElroy has accepted a position with the Christian Book Store Berens as an assistant manager in the Naperville store, a suburb west of Chicago.  Congratulations! 

Philip and Donna have a new grand daughter, Hannah Silverman.  Born to Charlene, Larry and brother Josh  last Wednesday about 1:30pm.  She was 9lbs. 2 oz and 20.5".  She's well and mommy is well, tired but well.

 

 

 

Alexis and Will  had their fifth grandchild on September 15, 2004.  His name is Aaron Samuel Jackiw.  He was 21 inches long and weighed 9 lbs. and 4 ounces. His pround family is Adrienne, Chris, Stephen and Andrew .

Scooter   (Christopher Groebe) is getting married.  He and Jessica are now engaged!  The date is early 2006 and should be local so all can come and celebrate their union.  I will send more info.  Chris's email is  ibag00ber@aol.com.  Maybe you could send this out to your master, super duper, all inclusive, just about everybody emailing list!  I'd appreciate it!  Thats my 4-legged granddaughter Zoie.... Taylor Blim auditioned and was accepted to be in the Holiday Festival Revue for the Chicago American Girl Company.  Kudos go out to one of the family's most talented performers. 

Kimberly McElroy (nee Groebe) won the prestigious  Carol Wichman Award for the Mental Health Employee of the Year in Greene County, Ohio.  Awarded for outstanding service. Congratulations on a wonderful career in the Social Work field.  

Terese Groebe is recovering at home from cancer surgery.  She would love to hear from you by phone, email, card or letter.   

Duncan and Elizabeth and family are grieving the loss of their expected child Micheal Joseph. 
His premature birth and death will be recognized in a private service by immediate family only. 

Alex McElroy will graduate on May 16, 2004 at 2:30pm on the Heidelberg College Campus, Tiffin, Ohio.

 Jennifer is back to work for State Farm Insurance in San Clemente;  she still loves visitors.

Katie Kneeland is now working in Homewood at the Artistix Salon; deep discounts for family.

Groebe Realtor Offices are now in Palos Height, Illinois.  Come in for a visit.

Gordon Groebe Sr.  is home from the hospital recovering.  He loves hearing from family.

Taylor Marie has been selected to represent the All American Girl in a special revue sponsored by The American Girl Place in Chicago.  This, of course, is in addition to her regular performances.  

Teddy Groebe made his first communion on May 1st.  

Adrienne and Chris Jackiw announce the expectation of a new baby in September.  Congratulations!
