Gay and Her Travels

Gay in Washington

This is Gay's choir singing in the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. on Arkansas Day.  The pulpit to the right of the choir is the Canterbury Pulpit gifted to the Cathedral in the early 1900's from the Canterbury Cathedral in England. It is hand-crafted French limestone.  The National Cathedral in Washington was completed in 1990 and took 83 years to build.  It is entirely hand crafted in Indiana limestone.  From the bell tower one can look down on the Washington Monument.  It is Gothic architecture and is the 6th largest Cathedral in the World.
