A DUTCHMAN

Once there was a Dutchman, his name was Johnny VerBeck,
He was a dealer in sausages and sauerkraut and specht,
One day he got a-thinkin’ , a-thinkin’ with his bean
And then he invented, the wonderful sausage machine.

Bang!

CHORUS

Oh Mr. Johnny Ver Beck, how could you be so mean,
I told you you’d be sorry for inventing that machine,
Now all the neighbor’s cats and dogs,
Will never more be seen,
They’ll all be ground to sausages, in Johnny Ver Beck’s machine

Bang!

One day a boy came walking, came walking in his store
He bought a pound of sausages and laid them on the floor,
The boy began to whistle, he whistled up a tune,
And all the little sausages were dancin’ around the room

Bang!

CHORUS

One day the thing got busted, the darn thing wouldn’t go,
So Johnny Ver Beck, he climbed inside to see what made it so
His wife was havin’ a nightmare, she was walkin’ in her sleep,
She have the crank a heck of a yank,
And Johnny Ver Beck was meat!

Bang!

Away out in the forest
There lived a mean old man
His name was Mr. Johnny Rebeck
And he could surely plan
All the neighbors' cats and dogs
Were always at his feet
So he invented a machine
That turned them all to meat

CHORUS
